A group of young adults, all fresh out of college, gather in a huge room inside one of the buildings in a cyber park outside Metro Manila’s primary business districts. There are seventeen of them, the so-called chosen ones from an original pool of 60. A rigorous journey awaits them in one of the most recognized companies in the world.
By a weird stroke of luck, I was chosen to be part of that group, the first Team Blue.
I could not believe that it has been two years since I started my professional life in IBM. From a novice Java developer to an Information Management specialist-slash-technical instructor, my journey so far has been amazing. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs but so far, so good. Temptations of higher pay have failed to uproot me from the rich soil that I am planted into right now.
I am looking forward to what lies ahead in my professional life. For now though, I’ll just do my best in every challenge thrown at me.
Speaking of challenges, I still have to finish a self-paced training by Saturday. I’ll be flying to Bangkok for a training and I need to be prepared for an assessment test to be given before the classes begin. I wish tomorrow wouldn’t be as busy as today, though it’s highly unlikely since I’d be in an architectural discussion. Why am I even blogging? Haha. Baliw.
